How to Keep Your Mind Sharp, Improve Your Memory and IQ, Impress Others, and Make More Money

>

Everyone has seen or heard of someone with a photographic memory. We have also seen or know people afflicted with alzheimers, dementia, and low IQ's. Why do some people have such memory power and others either never have it or are stripped of it by disease and neglect.

Studies have shown that 50% of brain power and function is genetic, and 50% is environment derived. What that means is that, yes, there are some that are born better off than others - Just like some people are born with more wealth than the rest of us (Paris Hilton, Martin Sheen, etc...), but for every one inherently better off rich kid (spoiled brat) there are 3 or more selfstarters that have equaled or surpassed them with hard work. This is the same with inherent genius. This means that 50% of your brain power is a direct result of its environment - what it is exposed to, the activity it receives, and can be seriously developed to even surpass the born super geniuses.

The brain is very similar to a muscle. We have all heard of stories of the underdog in sports. Someone whom has overcome great difficulty, diseases like cancer (Lance Armstrong), etc... and risen to be the best - far exceeding people with better genetics, better training, etc... The brain is no different. The number one thing to increase your brain's thinking power is activity. Just like muscles it needs to be exercised and stretched out.

Dr's know that the way to avoid mental decline is to constantly expose the brain to new activities. Keep it active. Studies have shown that the harder you work your brain the more it will improve. It has actually been proven that those who work their minds the hardest have actually shown definite and marked improvement in scores on various intelligence tests. It has also been proven that stagnation will cause a marked decline on those same tests. This same activity has even been proved to help those whose minds have already started to decline - even in alzheimers patients.

Now, just like the body has many different muscles, the brain has numerous functions and each has its own area or region. This is why there is autism and savants like Rainman. Gentics just like the environment can lead to gross overdevelpment of a region and underdevelopment of others (autism). Just like body builders wouldn't want to just work on their chest muscles, you want to try and expand your whole range of thought for a more well rounded brain. There are many different areas of brain thought like short term and long term memory, spatial perception, logic, some even say there is an unknown area that has been related to psychics and communication with the unknown (studies have actually shown that there is an area of the mind unlinked with any known thought processes that is highly developed (extensive increases in neuropathways and blood flow) that is only seen in psychic and paranormal activities - interesting!

We will not go into how to exercise each of the areas of the brain as there are numerous books on this (a great one is by Harry Lorraine - The Memory Book. Just remember crossword puzzles, college and adult education classes, reading - especially different subject matter, brainstorming, etc... will all help you develope your mind and reach your peak mental fitness and potential. I just want you to realize how important it is to keep your mind active and sharp. This mental exercise will inherently improve your IQ, bolster your confidence, make you and your life more interesting, earn you more friends, and make you more money for all these same reasons, regardless your profession - what have you got to lose. Maybe through brainstorming and streching the limits of your mind you will invent new ideas, products, or maybe even start your own business. This is how we invented our patented headlight cleaner and restorer, formed a biochemical company, and became the number one supplier of TCA peel skin peels in the world. Start exercising your brain today - you never know where it may take you!

21 Simple Ways To Make More Money From Your Current Clients, Part 3

>

It is easier to make additional money from your current clients than it is to go out and find new ones! See 21 simple ways in this three part article series.

Part Three:

15. Follow-up with your customers to see if they're happy and offer them another product.

Use your autoresponder script or subscription to send a follow up message 2-3 days after they have purchased and make sure they are happy with the product.

Some examples of this type of account or script are: Getresponse or AWeber, for examples of an autoresponder company.

Or a self-installed script like a custom version of QuickPayPro, which has the sequential autoresponders plus the shopping cart etc., or a simpler script like Autoresponders Unlimited if all you need is the autoresponder part and not the full shopping cart.

Another thing to add in the message to make sure they are using the product (Especially an ebook) is to ask how they liked a specific chapter's information. With software, it could be a specific feature or action the software performs.

For example, with an ebook you could say, "So how are you enjoying that tip in chapter 4? Did you save as much money as I did when I used this method?"

They will have to go to the ebook and see - especially if you can add something like the part where I said "did you SAVE as much money as I did?"!

How will they know:

a.) What you did b.) How much you saved c.) What the method was

Unless they read the book?

16. Offer people a free sample of your product and tell them they will get a discount if they order now.

For an ebook it could be the first couple of chapters or chapters that don't give away all your "secrets". For software it could be a 30 trial or a version of the software that doesn't have all of the features enabled.

17. Send your customers a "thank you" e-mail with a back end offer attached.

Send this one immediately or 1 day after purchase. Remember the follow up email asking how they like the product/ebook/software/video, etc. will be going out on day 3 or 4.

The offer should optimally be related to an enhancement of the product they just purchased. But not the "new and improved" version of the same product!

More like selling tea pot covers to tea pot buyers, bookmarks to book buyers and video viewing software to video buyers... get it?

18. Offer your customers add-on products like gift wrapping, batteries, imprinting, etc.

Think about complimentary items that enhance your items such as:

* Presentation or looks * Ease of Use * Beauty * Features * Speed * Bells and Whistles * Longevity * Widen Appeal to larger group of people * Emotional Attachment (Personalization)

And so on.

19. Allow your customers the option of signing up to your "future product offers list".

I know some online business persons who have a "Early Bird" notice list. Subscribers get notified early of these special members' only deals!

They are basically asking you to tell them when they can buy the next product (or affiliate product / recommendation) from you! Who would want to turn that down?

20. Explain to people that for extra money, they can extend the guarantee or warranty of the product.

This is self explanatory for anyone who has ever been to Sears, Best Buy or Circuit City! Every single purchase you make from those stores comes with an offer of an extended warranty. It is the easiest way to increase your profits by 10% that I know of!

21. Give rewards instead of money for ezine referrals.

There are scripts that you can install that will do this for people who send you referrals for your ezine or site. It tracks the clicks and the subsequent hits by the same person to the thank you page.

Obviously they signed up if they go from the sales page to the thank you page - right?

Then it would record the referrer and every month (or quarter, etc.) you can give rewards, bonuses, or commissions to the top 5 or 10 referrers. Don't run it like an affiliate program where everyone gets the reward, you should already have an affiliate program in place. No, run this like a contest to build up the competitiveness of it!

You want them WORKING to send you people so they are in the top 5 or whatever you set as your payout levels.

Well, that's it, 21 Simple Ways you can Make More Money from your Current Clients.

If you have any other ways, send them to me and I will post them in the Ebooks for Ebusiness Blog with your name and your web site link!

How To Make More Money With Affiliate Programs

Affiliate programs are one of the web's most effective marketing techniques. They create a win-win situation by which site A refers a visitor to site B, and site B pays site A a commission if that visitor purchases something. If you are the referrer site (affiliate), you can make money with no overhead (no product, no warehouse, no collection risk). On the other hand, the destination site receives a steady stream of qualified leads from hundreds, maybe thousands of affiliate sites, and doesn't have to spend a dime unless a visitor purchases something.

To maximize effectiveness, affiliate sites need to keep in mind some common sense suggestions:

1) Resist the temptation to add too many affiliate links. Affiliate link overkill confuses visitors and hurts credibility. You want your visitors to view your site as a value-adding destination and not just a cheesy sales site. Recommend links to products you have tried, or that come from good, solid companies. Don't recommend something you don't know just because you're getting paid. Give your visitors the best advice and they will reward you.

2) If you write articles for your website, try not to include the affiliate links in the body of your articles: it will give the impression that you have a vested interest in recommending them. You want your visitors to trust your advice, so don't turn your article into an excuse to promote products and make a commission. It's OK to include affiliate links, but do it on a side bar or on a resource table. Whenever possible, link to your affiliate partners with text links (since banner ad click-through is at its lower rate ever, and people tend to ignore banners).

3) Include only affiliate links that are related to your business and the topic of interest to your visitors. Links to unrelated products will not generate good leads for the destination sites (and therefore won't be a source of significant commissions for you), so they are best avoided.

4) Managing your affiliate programs can be a hassle if you have to deal with many different companies. Try to sign up with a site that administers many affiliate programs to chose from (one of the best out there are Commission Junction [www.cj.com] and Befree.com [www.befree.com]). These sites give you hundreds of affiliate programs to chose from, and act as a one-stop shop where you can sign up with multiple vendors using only one account and receiving one consolidated commission check.

5) Chose affiliate partners that offer long term cookies. A cookie is a mechanism that allows the destination site to know when a visitor is referred by your site. A long term cookie (for example, a three months cookie) means that a visitor who follows a link to one of your affiliate partners today but doesn't purchase anything, can come back and purchase at anytime during the next three months and you will still be paid a commission. The best programs are those who offer unlimited cookies (although there are not so many of them around). However, a 90-day cookie or more is very good.

6) Link directly to the product page and not to the main page of the destination site. If you link to the main page, the visitor will have to find its way to the product and may not find it, making you lose commissions. By linking directly to the product, you will increase the prospects of the visitor buying the product (and of you making a commission). Many destination sites, like Amazon, recognize this fact and offer a higher commission to affiliates that link directly to the product pages than to those who only link to the main page.

Follow these simple guidelines and you will improve your chances of success with all your affiliate programs.
